PURCHASE ORIGINALS

Most of my work has been created on location in hardbound sketchbooks, so original work available for sale is rare. In response to numerous requests to purchase originals, I've had a great time assembling an eclectic collection of my line and wash pieces not in sketchbooks. They include some pieces sketched on location, and others created in the studio from rough field sketches and other references. Some are preliminary studies. As they were not originally intended for sale, some pieces have notes, the odd ink smudge, or an errant brushstroke in the margin. As Eric Blackstead wrote of the glitches in the original Woodstock recordings, "Consider them like the flaws in fine leather, proof of the origin and authenticity of the material in which they are found." We'll be adding more as we find them. If you're interested in purchasing, email patti@townscape.com.
